Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 20 June 20261. Scope of Work
Project scope, deliverables and timeline are defined in a signed Agreement and PO. Work outside the agreed scope requires written approval and may incur additional cost and time.
2. Client Responsibilities
Client provides a complete brief and any required assets (products, CAD files, footage, talent, references) on time; delays extend the timeline accordingly. Client warrants all supplied materials and talent are legally available for use. For AI work using client-supplied images, the Client confirms in writing that they hold the necessary rights — REM accepts no liability for rights issues arising from client-supplied material
3. Production & Revisions
Standard workflow: briefing → asset collection → production → internal review → client review/revisions → final delivery. Two rounds of revisions are included within the original brief; requests outside the original creative direction are treated as a scope change and quoted separately.
4. Deliverables
Final edited files are delivered per the agreed format and resolution. Raw/unedited source material is not included by default and must be agreed in advance. Source material is retained for 30 days post-delivery. Deliverables are final upon written client approval.
5. Usage Rights & Ownership
On full completion, the Client receives usage rights for the agreed commercial purpose. REM retains authorship and the right to use the work in its own portfolio and marketing unless the Client opts out in writing before delivery. Exclusive or extended rights must be agreed separately; resale or redistribution as stock content is not permitted without agreement.
6. Model Releases & Third-Party Rights
Client is responsible for model releases and consents, unless REM sources talent as part of the agreed scope (in which case REM obtains standard releases). Client is responsible for licensing of any third-party brand assets, music or licensed material supplied for the project.
7. Cancellation of Production
Cancellations or postponements within 72 hours of a scheduled shoot may incur a cancellation fee reflecting work already undertaken and resources booked, as set out in the Project Agreement. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
8. Confidentiality
Unreleased products, campaigns and client information are treated as confidential; portfolio and marketing use is withheld until public release or an agreed embargo lapses. An NDA can be signed on request for projects requiring additional confidentiality.
9. Liability
REM delivers using professional skill and industry-standard practice, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. In case of force majeure (equipment failure, illness, etc.), REM will notify the Client and reschedule at the earliest opportunity as the sole remedy. Total liability is capped at the value of the relevant Purchase Order.
10. General
Governed by the laws of the UAE and the courts of Dubai. Where these terms conflict with a signed Agreement or PO, the Agreement/PO prevails for that project. REM may amend these terms; the version in effect at signing applies.
Studio & Equipment Rental Terms
1. Bookings & Cancellations
Advance booking only. Confirmed upon a 50% non-refundable deposit; balance due before the shoot starts. Cancellations or rescheduling 72+ hours before the booking receive a full deposit refund; within 72 hours, the deposit is forfeited.
2. Rental Time & Overtime
The rental period starts and ends at the confirmed time regardless of arrival. Overtime is charged at AED 200/hr per zone or AED 500/hr for the Full Studio, subject to availability.
3. Occupancy & Conduct
Maximum 6 people per zone, 15 for the Full Studio. No smoking/vaping inside; no food or drink on the shooting floor. Confetti, smoke machines, open flames and similar require prior written approval. A cleaning fee of AED 200 applies if the studio is left unsatisfactory.
4. Restricted Content & Minors
Adult, political, religious or otherwise sensitive content requires prior written approval. Shoots involving minors require a parent or legal guardian present at all times.
5. Damage, Liability & Equipment Use
The Hirer is responsible for any physical damage to the studio or property. REM is not liable for injury, loss or theft of the Hirer’s property. The motorised truss rig is operated by REM staff only. REM may use studio/production imagery for its own marketing unless the Hirer opts out in writing; the Hirer is responsible for their own model releases and consents.
6. Equipment Booking, Payment & ID
Bookings confirmed in advance via website, phone, WhatsApp or email. 100% payment is due before or at the time of collection — equipment is not released without full payment. A valid government-issued ID (Emirates ID or passport) matching the booking name is required at collection; equipment is not released without it.
7. Collection, Return & Late Fees
The Hirer must inspect equipment at collection and report any damage or missing items immediately — equipment is deemed in good condition if not reported. All accessories, cables and cases must be returned with the equipment. Late returns incur the standard daily rate for each late day.
8. Damage, Loss & Theft
The Hirer is responsible for equipment from collection to return. Damaged, lost or stolen items are charged at full current retail replacement cost. If a model has been discontinued, REM will identify the nearest current equivalent model and charge that price instead.
9. Use of Equipment
Lawful use only, per manufacturer guidelines. No repairs or modifications by the Hirer — faults must be reported immediately. No sub-hire or lending to third parties without written approval. REM may recall equipment if misuse or breach of these terms is suspected.
10. General
Governed by the laws of the UAE and the courts of Dubai. REM may amend these terms; the version in effect at the time of booking applies. This document is the entire agreement between REM Studio and the Hirer for studio and equipment rental matters.
